The Tron Light Cycle Lives (in the real world)

Evolve Xenon Light Cycle
Evolve Motorcycles is a New York-based company that designs and build high-tech scooters and motorcycles. They teamed up with Parker Brothers Choppers of Melbourne, FL to create this one-off custom replica of the Tron light cycle, the Xenon. The picture you see at left is a real, functional bike, not a CAD model.

Motive power is provided by a 40kW electric motor and lithium chemistry battery pack. The blue wheel borders and chassis trim are implemented with organic LEDs (OLEDs). Evolve claims a 100 mile range.

You can see the bike in running form here at Youtube (apparently the embedding is disabled).

(Tip of the hat to Cycle World, which had a blurb about the Xenon in their new May issue.)
